Couldn’t resist sharing this pic of gorgeous mop-head hydrangeas. They were grown in my mother’s garden in Mt Dandenong, one of the few places in Melbourne where it still gets cool enough and damp enough for them to thrive. The ones in my garden are just a disgrace, so I am going to pull them out and replace them with oak leaf hydrangeas, hydrangea quercifolia, which are so much tougher and have lovely cream flowers.
