Last day of our break. Lunch at Chin Chin in the city, coffee at the Federal Coffee Palace. I’ve read some poor reviews of the coffee there, but we’ve always had good luck with ours.
I bought a diary at last, but we hunted for a calendar in vain. Do calendars all get taken away and burnt in January? Usually, we get the Leunig calendar with the newspaper, but somehow missed this year’s. How to replace it? A very Melbourne dilemma!

I’ve always had good coffee (or good enough) at the Federal Coffee Palace. It’s my favourite place to sit and watch Melbourne go by.
I make our calendars at Ted’s (can also do online). It’s not cheap but you get your favourite photos on nice stiff glossy paper. The family love it.
It is a great place to sit and people watch and I love the vaulted ceiling. I’ll look into Ted’s, thanks Janet.
I make our calendar each year at Red Bubble. You can also buy them there (mine, or other peoples!).

Suse, it’s a beautiful calendar, I would love it. But it’s A3, which is way too big too hang on our kitchen post. The old Leunig was just the right width…
Yes I’m annoyed about that Leunig calendar. This year you had to buy it for two dollars and go to the newsagent instead of it being an insert. Daughter bought me black cat calendar instead
still no replacement calendar… it may stay December 2012 at our place for some time this year.
